National Water Security – Water Saving Tips
South Africa is a water scarce country with a rainfall that is 40% lower than the world average yet our consumption is unacceptably high at 253 litres per day compared to the world average of 173% litres per day.
Furthermore, we lose as much as 36,7% of potable water which translates to revenue loss of R7 billion per annum as articulated by The State President, Jacob Zuma in his State of The Nation Address on 12 February 2015.
Please report water leaks to your nearest municipal office.
